Guidebook describing 30 circular walks in the Cotswolds AONB of southern England. The graded routes are 4-12 miles long, visiting hill forts, long barrows and stone circles, picturesque villages and parts of the Cotswold Way National Trail as circular walks. Includes information about history, geology and wildlife encountered along the routes.
This guidebook contains route descriptions for 42 day walks in the Dartmoor National Park and its surrounding area. The walks all vary in length from 2 to 12 miles long and each route is graded by difficulty from easy to moderate or hard. Most of the walks are circular with a few longer routes that are linear and involve ascents of tors.
Map of part of the southern section of the 630 mile (1014km) South West Coast Path National Trail. Covers the trail from St Ives to Plymouth along the west Cornwall and Devon coastline. This convenient and compact booklet of Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 maps shows the route, providing all of the mapping you need to walk the trail in either direction.
This guidebook contains 43 circular day walks in the north and east Yorkshire Dales. It explores the dales, hills and moors between Kirkby Stephen and Pateley Bridge. Walking ranges from gentle 3 mile strolls to more strenuous day-long rambles across the Howgills, Wensleydale, Swaledale, Nidderdale, Mallerstang and Coverdale.
Guidebook to three long-distance routes exploring the varied landscapes of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB. The Suffolk Coast Path covers 55 to 60 miles from Lowestoft to Felixstowe. The Stour and Orwell Walk is 40 miles from Felixstowe to Cattawade near Manningtree, while the Sandlings Walk is 59 miles from Ipswich to Southwold.
The excellent digital mapping supplied by Anquet is available in a range of formats. Probably the most popular with walkers are their digital format and detailed OS Explorer maps at 1:25k scale. OS Landranger 1:50k maps are also available although showing less detail. Harveys produce Superwalker maps at 1:25k and British Mountain Maps at 1:40k both offering a different style of mapping to the more familiar OS maps. Harvey maps often include additional detail, including more paths, not shown on OS mapping.
