Snowdon

Photo 59 - Snowdonia

2 Dec 2001 A veil of high cloud gave weak hazy sunshine for most of the day, with very flat lighting, but towards evening the wind dropped to a dead calm and the skies began to clear - exactly the opposite of what the weather forecasters were predicting. All is forgiven however - as I got back to the car, parked next to the lake at Capel Curig, I was treated to the best sunset I've seen for quite a while. The scene was too wide for the poor old Konica to take in so this first shot was stitched together from three exposures.
