The area north of Brecon provides some good walking with fine views. This route visits the ancient fort of Pen-y-crug and continues using paths and quiet lanes to visit Sarnau and Battle. The route takes you out of the Brecon Beacons National Park and traverses some fine Powys countryside.  A GPX File is available for download (see walk description).
