Guidebook to three long-distance routes exploring the varied landscapes of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB. The Suffolk Coast Path covers 55 to 60 miles from Lowestoft to Felixstowe. The Stour and Orwell Walk is 40 miles from Felixstowe to Cattawade near Manningtree, while the Sandlings Walk is 59 miles from Ipswich to Southwold.
45 circular day walks are described in this guidebook to the Brecon Beacons National Park. From west to east, Mynydd Du, Fforest Fawr, the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains these mountain and valley routes offer many options, highlighting the natural features. The walks described explore dramatic waterfalls, wooded gorges and upland valleys.
The excellent digital mapping supplied by Anquet is available in a range of formats. Probably the most popular with walkers are their digital format and detailed OS Explorer maps at 1:25k scale. OS Landranger 1:50k maps are also available although showing less detail. Harveys produce Superwalker maps at 1:25k and British Mountain Maps at 1:40k both offering a different style of mapping to the more familiar OS maps. Harvey maps often include additional detail, including more paths, not shown on OS mapping.
