A walk in the Howgill Fells which follows Carlingill Beck upstream to reach Black Force waterfall which tumbles down in a series of cascades. The route continues along paths and tracks to Whin's End. The walk then follows a quiet road up the Lune Valley back to the start. The ascent beside Black Force is a rough steep scramble. After heavy rain, this walk can be impassable.
