This Conwy walk in Snowdonia (Eryri) uses sections of the North Wales Path and Wales Coast Path, which features the Jubilee Path built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1897. The walk offers some excellent views along the North Wales coast and provides the opportunity to reach the summit of Foel Lus, a small granite hill with views to Anglesey and the Great Orme at Llandudno.

The start is the small car park at the top of Sychnant Pass (grid ref. SH749770). Please note that on busy days, the car park will fill early, and you may have to use the next nearest parking 500 metres downhill west of the pass (grid ref. SH754769). Assuming you have parked at the top of the pass, take the signed path between two stone pillars on the south side of the road. Continue along the path, with a small wood to your left to reach a path junction after 200 metres marked with a North Wales Path waymark. Turn right, then left and right along the waymarked path to reach a stile/gate.

The path descends and just after it starts to climb you reach a path junction (grid ref. SH746757). Go straight ahead here, staying on the North Wales Path. The path across an open moor, Waen Gyrach, to reach a wall by some trees (grid ref. SH740749). Turn right to a wall corner the bear left to a footbridge and stile. After crossing the stile, the path climbs up towards a wall, which will be on your right. Shortly after the North Wales Path turns left (grid ref. SH734753) turn right to a ladder stile. Walk half left to join an access track to the house on the right. Almost immediately you reach a junction with a track coming in from the left (grid ref. SH733755). Walk ahead on the track and you will soon see the clear path to the summit of Foel Lus.

After enjoying the extensive view, retrace your steps downhill towards the track you just walked. Just before reaching this track, turn right on a narrow path to another track, which is the Wales Coast Path. Turn right and continue ahead until the track turns sharp left (grid ref. SH730759). You leave the track here and walk between two stone pillars to join the Jubilee Path which offers wonderful views over the coast. The path becomes narrower and follows an undulating course around Foel Lus to arrive at a bench by some telegraph poles (grid ref. SH737763). Ignore the paths on the left (including the Wales Coast Path) and continue for a few more metres to locate a path on the left which heads downhill to cross a stream. Veer slightly right to join a track (grid ref. SH739759).

Turn left along the track and follow the track as it bends to the right ignoring paths on either side. The track passes above a house, reaches a gate to a lane end (grid ref. SH743761). Follow Fairy Glen Road to a road junction in Capelulo (grid ref. SH743765). Cross the road and take the footpath opposite. This leads in 300 metres to Old Mill Road. Turn right Take care walking along this section of road to where the road bends right (with a white house ahead at the corner). Take the signed footpath to the left of the house following what starts off as a track. This soon becomes a path and climbs out of the valley to reach another track. Turn back to the start.
