Walk Route Description

This is another New Forest Video walk with my Whippet, Logan. This route explores the area around the North & North West of the village of Ashurst. The circular route takes us into a number of woodland inclosures, taking advantage of well-made tracks with hard surfaces. The walk explores the site of Costicles Pond - an area that was once an impressive expanse of open water over 200 years ago but now sadly reverted to a bog. The route takes us past the old Underkeepers Lodge, and we come across a huge stack of Heather bales before crossing the Bartley Water twice.
