This Warwickshire walk starts from the attractive village of Honington built from mellow stone. The route follows Shakespeare's Way north before joining a bridleway to reach Idlicote. Turning west the walk returns across fields to Honington along the Centenary Way.

The start is Honington where limited parking is available on the grass verge at the east end of the village just past the road junction (grid ref. SP266425). After parking, continue east out the village along the lane, which is also the Shakespeare's Way. At the first road junction, turn left and continue through Little Honington. You soon pass Granby Farm on the left. The road descends through trees, Wagtail Spinney, and crosses a small brick-built bridge (grid ref. SP267422). Once over the bridge bear right through a metal gate onto a signed path (Shakespeare's Way).

Continue along the path keeping the stream on your right. After 800 metres you reach a path junction (grid ref. SP273448). Turn right, leaving the Shakespeare's Way, following the blue waymarks and continue across a small footbridge, pass through Bath Ground Coppice, and stay ahead on the bridleway to Idlicote. Pass the tower and continue round a left bend to turn right between white gateposts (grid ref. SP283442) following the blue waymarks. Continue to a road (grid ref. SP284440). Go straight across following the path across a large field to reach a cross track. Turn left and follow the track towards Idlicote Hill Farm (grid ref. SP287433). You are now on the Centenary Way.

Keep the farm on your right and continue along the waymarked Centenary Way which turns sharp right just past the farm. The route continues along a clear path turning left and then right to reach Hill Clumps (grid ref. SP279428). Follow the path left and walk past a small pond on your right. Continue ahead on the Centenary Way which soon turns right with a hedge on your left. Turn right through the hedge and follow the path along the right-hand side of the next field. Reaching a track (grid ref. SP276421), turn right and follow the clear path back towards Honington. Reaching a road, turn right into the centre of the village. At the T-junction turn right back to the start. If you have time do make the effort to explore the village and All Saints Church.
