Circular walk from Farthingstone explores the Northamptonshire countryside around the village. The route also passes through Litchborough. Both the villages visited during the walk have many buildings constructed from the local ironstone. In addition, Litchborough and Farthingstone have fine parish churches and manor houses.

Cross a paddock to a stile and continue across another paddock. Keep high hedge on your right, cross two more stiles and pass to the left of a small pond. Cross a footbridge and walk half left across the field to a fingerpost.

Turn left and keep the hedge on your left to reach the edge of woodland. Turn right and follow the field edge with trees on your left up to a lane (grid ref. SP598555). Turn left along the lane.
